Visit from Maher

Maher and Hasan visited us for a couple of days and we spent lots of quality time together. We took them to Harrah's Casino....lost money. We also went for a nice drive in the the Smoky Mountains.

Sarah's Birthday

Chloe and Emma had a blast wishing Sarah a happy birthday at her princess birthday party. In case you are wondering, Sarah painted her eyebrows with eye shadow and so she has wild eyebrows for all of her birthday pictures. I am sure that one day she will look back on this and laugh.....maybe.

Sorry we have not stopped to blog lately....but we have been taking lots and lots of pictures. We have just been so busy. No more excuses. Check back and we will blog daily until we catch you up on everything we've been doing since we talked last.

This picture was taken in the Witchita Mountains in Oklahoma. We went on a day excursion while we visited Wael and Hana in Texas for Thanksgiving.

Trip to Dallas & The JFK Museum

Marwan, Jane, Jordan, the girls & Nanny Linda spent the day in Dallas. We especially enjoyed "The 6th Floor Museum" at Dealey Plaza. This was the building that originally housed the school book depository in which Oswald hid in the 6th floor window and shot and killed JFK as his motorcade travelled by. This was so emotional to walk by the window, hear the gunfire, listen to eyewitness accounts and see actual home movies of this world changing event.

The girls even behaved very well....believe it or not.

Trip to Wael & Hana's House

Our trip to Wichita Falls was full of family fun. Everyone enjoyed themselves and did not want the trip to end.

Trip to School

Yara & Ziad loved having us all visit their school for a pic-nic. Chloe especially enjoyed playing with the kids on the slide.

Marwan & Jane

Hello everyone! We spent the evening at Maurice & Terri's house. They had a big party and invited lots of couples. We even got a sitter for Emma & Chloe. We have only done this once before, so it felt really weird.... We had a great time. I'll blog some photos of the evening soon.

Cupcakes for everyone

Chloe "helped" mama make Dora the Explorer cupcakes tonight. The extent of her "help" was eating almost 2 cupcakes and making a total mess on the kitchen counter. She thought our cupcakes were yummy!

Chloe and her friend Parker played in the dirt throwing rocks after the church service Sunday night. Parker took a moment to get a hug......Chloe looks like she does not know what to think about that.

Jordan hangs out

Our church had a celebration on Sunday night for the new youth building that is being built (see it in the background). This building should be completed by next summer and everyone is very excited about it. We had a special service there Sunday night and got to look around at the building progress. Jordan enjoyed hanging out with some friends after the service.

Mr Farmer is now finished and positioned with his
pitchfork in our front yard. Chloe enjoyed
decorating a pumpkin face next to him. We hope
enjoys this beautiful fall season.

eyed. We thank God for her every day.

Lesson One

Marwan got a piano lesson from Nanny Linda today. He did a really good job. We were both quite impressed.

Pumpkin Time

Chloe and Daddy worked on our Fall yard display today.
Chloe had a fun time picking out her pumpkins. The only
problem was that she wanted to buy more than we thought
that she needed. Tomorrow we will build our scarecrow.

Playin' in the rain

We had a rainy day down this way all day today, but that did not stop Chloe from enjoying herself. She found an opportunity to run outside while the door was open and played in the rain and sat down in the water puddles wearing nothing but her shirt and diaper.

And baby, makes three!

Congratulations Stephanie & Jeremy. They have just announced that they are expecting a baby May 31, 2008. That would make me and Marwan a Great Aunt & Great Uncle!!!! Stephanie is Jane's older brother Tony's daughter. Little Emma & Chloe are so excited that they will have a new playmate soon. No more sleeping in on Saturday morning, Steph &Jeremy....or any morning as far as that is concerned.

Emma rolled for the first time Saturday September 30, 2007. She was spending the day with her Nanny while Marwan and I took Chloe to Carowinds. Emma had been on the verge of turning over for a while now....and finally did it. Yeah!!! Way to go Em!

Chloe spent Saturday at Carowinds Theme Park. She had so much fun. She is not afraid of anything...she even rode a roller coast and the water log ride!!! She loved them all.

1st Bite of Food

Emma Kate had her first bite of real food today, Rice Cereal. You should have seen her smack her lips. Her arms and legs started moving in excitement and she was eating it so fast that she would get upset with me if I could not feed her as fast as she wanted me to do so. She had a couple of tablespoons of cereal....will try again tomorrow. We don't want any belly aches.

Chloe's 1st Day of Preschool

Chloe started preschool with the Mother's Morning Out program of our local christian school. She did fabulous. Marwan and I both took her this morning and walked her to her class. She immediately handed her teacher her lunchbox and ran over to where some children were playing and totally forgot that we existed. When I picked her up, she was far too busy to notice me. According to her note from her teacher (see pictured to left), she had a great day and never cried at all!

Our little girl is growing up. Keep checking back and we'll add pics of her at school.
